It can often be challenging to start something new. Whether it’s a new job or a new workout regimen, changing your routine can take a lot of energy, perseverance, and ability to “jump in” to something you’ve never done before.
We frequently hear from our customers how our clothing helps them jump into new experiences and challenges when it comes to living an active life. It may not be obvious at first, but simply having the right activewear is crucial to successfully “jumping in” to any new exercise regimen. Aquatards, moisture-wicking and compression fabrics, construction that focuses on chafe-free wearability—they all give plus size women access to athletics they otherwise might not be able to participate in.
That’s exactly why we are 24/7 dedicated to designing activewear, swimwear and intimates in sizes up to 6X. Everybody deserves to have the right clothing to live the active lifestyle they want—without having to shop in the men’s department or wear sweatpants to a workout class better suited for moisture-wicking leggings and a cute tank top.

In celebration of Jump In month, we invite you to jump into a new activity for the month of May. If you’ve been eyeing a swim class but haven’t yet had the time to go, or if you’ve wanted to start following exercise videos from home but haven’t quite gotten around to it, now is the perfect time. Here are a few tips to help you get started:
1. Get the Right Activewear
With the right outfit, you can do anything. That’s why it’s incredibly important to have the right activewear for the activity you want to participate in. If you love to swim, you can imagine wearing a swimsuit design for lounging on the beach might not go over well while you’re in the middle of rocking 10 laps. Furthermore, if you love wearing activewear leggings in your daily life, just having them on makes it that much easier to hit the parks for a walk or your yoga mat after work.
High-performance fabrics and designs tailored exclusively for curvy bodies will definitely help you perform to the best of your ability—not to mention the perfect outfit can be its own source of personal inspiration.
2. Embrace the 3 R’s of Habit Change
It’s easy to plan for a new routine—the hard part is actually doing it. Follow the three R’s of successfully changing a habit to help guide your new adventure: Reminder, Routine, and Reward. Set a reminder for your new activity, do the new activity, and give yourself a reward for completing the activity. It may help to keep a journal or update your calendar with alerts to get the ball rolling, or invite a friend to join you—there’s always strength in numbers.
3. Don’t Be Afraid of Failing—Use it to Inspire You
One of the hardest parts of setting goals is how you feel when you don’t complete them. We’ve all been there, and it’s not the end of the world. There’s nothing wrong with not hitting a goal or missing your mark. In fact, there have been multiple articles written about how small failures become stepping stones to success.
The important thing is that you always keep trying to do your best, without too much internal pressure to be perfect or meet your goals every single time. Life happens—between work, raising a family, and maintaining a personal life, it’s hard to do everything you want flawlessly. Give yourself some loving room to fail once in awhile, knowing that all the small steps you’re taking to live an active life are part of a bigger-picture goal you’ve set for yourself.
