Thank you for putting real size women in your catalog. As a size 16, I can see what I will actually look like in your clothing. Your models are beautiful, and portray real-life for women who are not a size 6. My husband sent for a few catalogs aimed at my size, and only yours came with honest pictures of ME and stuff I would wear. The rest had clothing that they say will fit me, but I can't even imagine how that clothing on a size 6 would look on a size 16. I am forty years old, and married for twenty years. I am active with aerobics, and am a nurse for a local hospice agency. We have three businesses, and two children. I like to dress comfortably for all occasions. I think I just found the place to do it. Thanks again. Sincerely, Toni I just wanted to tell you how refreshing it was to get your catalog in the mail and see real plus size women as the models. It drives me crazy when the catalogs come and they are all size 8 models wearing plus size clothing. Thanks, and I will definitely be ordering from your catalog! – Dianne I had to drop you a note to let you know how much I enjoy receiving your catalog. When I open it and see all those beautiful models who are actually proportioned like me, I can't tell you how delighted I feel. Not only is it affirming to me as a woman, but it's sooo much easier to buy clothes when I know how they're actually going to look on me. (Putting plus-size clothes on a size 5 model is ludicrous. Everything drapes on a stick!) My friends must feel the same, because your catalog is always the first one to be "borrowed." I'm going to hide this one long enough to place an order. Then it can travel along. Thank you, thank you, thank you! – Judi Thank you for using plus-size models to show off your fashions. That really helps make the ordering process easier since I pretty much know how the clothing will look on MY body. All my best, Peg Thank you so much for using actual-size models in your catalog. To do otherwise is an insult to plus-size women. You respect us, and that means a lot to a group of women who are so often looked down upon in our anorexia-driven culture. Yours truly, Linnea I just wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for Junonia and your service to plus size women like myself. I have shopped at Junonia for several years now and will continue to do so for several reasons. I particularly like the way you use plus size women to model plus size clothes. I can tell how the clothing is going to look rather than being insulted by a size 4 model in my 3X styles. Bravo for you! Blessings, Carol It's shocking, but even now with many plus-size people, almost all clothing is designed for a size 6 and "scaled" up. I've always been overjoyed that all the models are real, large women and not these walking sticks with large clothing pinned up on them. I also love that almost all of the photos show women being active in a sport or outdoors. So many of the catalogs for large clothes seem to just show women sitting or standing somewhere out of the way. Thank you, Ann Thank you for always using "real" size women on your web and in your catalogs. It's always a shock to see clothes I’ve purchased at other retailers not looking as attractive as I had envisioned because I've been looking at the wrong sized model. It always makes me think, “I know I wear a size 20. Now show me what that REALLY looks like!” Nothing more frustrating in a catalog or on-line shopping experience than when retailers use size 2, 4, or 6 women to sell size 18, 20, or 22 clothing. Kudos for caring. – Juliet I wish to commend you for using REAL plus-size models in your catalog. As an online buyer, I receive (and order from) many different catalogs, and have noticed that almost all of the ones with plus-size fashions show stick-thin models wearing their products. This is almost laughable, as it's not a realistic representation of how this type of clothing will look on a person (including myself) with larger proportions. Thank you for showing it like it is! – Cynthia Also, please allow me to congratulate you on not only your standard philosophy of providing active clothes for "above average" women, but also on acknowledging to the fashion world that large women will buy clothes if they appear on women their own size. After all, how do we know how the clothes will look on us if they appear on a size two supermodel? So thanks, from all us fat girls! – Angela I wish to thank you for your company and the lovely catalog. It is refreshing to see clothes modeled by women who are really the size of the clothing being sold. In the past I have ordered from catalogs where all the models are small and it is hard to get an idea of how things will look on my body. So thank you for being there. And I enjoy reading your thoughts and comments as well. – Ingrid
