JUNONIA ACTIVEWEAR
My entire life I've been large and I have always searched and struggled to find
clothing for an active life. Until Junonia came along I was constantly making do with
casual, and sometimes, dressy clothing for hiking, gym workouts, whatever. I could never
find sportswear for my size that was actually sportswear! I've been purchasing real
sportswear from Junonia now for over a year and I could just cry with joy at how satisfied
I am with the selection, comfort, and functionality of my purchases. Then yesterday I
received the latest catalog and couldn't believe how much the selection has grown - it
seems to have doubled overnight! And, I can find not only Coolmax fabrics in most of the
workout clothes, but there are also items like the Aquatard and yoga gear. And, a huge
selection of attractive swimsuits. But, not only are they attractive, the designs are
thoughtful as if the designer would actually wear them. It's shocking, but even now with
many plus-size people almost all clothing is desi gned
for a size 6 and "scaled" up. I've always been overjoyed that all the models are real,
large women and not these walking sticks with large clothing pinned up on them. I also
love that almost all of the photos show women being active in a sport or outdoors. So many
of the catalogs for large clothes seem to just show women sitting or standing somewhere
out of the way. I couldn't be more thrilled to see Junonia grow and succeed. I tell
everyone I know about it! Almost everyone knows someone who is an active plus-size woman!
Under the Junonia logo on the catalogs it reads "Inspiration for active women in plus
sizes." Well, it truly is inspirational to me! After all I've been inspired to do
something I've never done before - write a letter of gratitude and praise to the owner of
a clothing catalog. Thank you, Ann
I just wanted to say "Thank you" for offering such amazing, quality active-wear. The
"quik wik" leggings are fabulous and have been my savior. I wore my first pair for almost
a year…at least three times a week when working out. I noticed just before Christmas that
the seam had finally ripped (I was pleasantly surprised at how long they lasted). So for
a short time I was forced to wear "non-Junonia" pants while working out at the club. It
only took two days before I had a miserable "friction" rash. It was either give up cardio
or get some new leggings. Thankfully I received two new pair of the "quikwik" leggings
for Christmas and I am pushing myself even harder at the gym. I've branched out to try
other Junonia items…a swim suit, several different tops, yoga pants, etc. I have not been
disappointed. I pass out my catalogs left and right to friends…and I'll continue to be an
advocate for Junonia as long as you keep it going. Best wishes. Amy
